Ouray, Colorado has many unique parks for you, your family, and even our pets, to enjoy. Typically, the parks have no entry fees or very minimal fees. Some are for everyday use, like Fellin Park; others, have feature specific activities that vary by season. Below, we've listed a few of our favorite Ouray parks. Cascade Falls Park

Cascade Falls is a set of waterfalls, Upper Cascade Falls and Lower Cascade Falls, originating at Cascade Creek. Cascade Falls Park includes Lower Cascade Falls. Besides excellent views of the falls and the surrounding area, Cascade Falls Park is the beginning of Lower Cascade Falls Trail. This is a short, easy out-and-back trail that the entire family can enjoy (and it's dog friendly). Cascade Fall Park includes a few picnic tables, making it a great place for an enjoyable family outing. Entry to the park is free, and the park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Rotary Park

Rotary Park is a multi-use park located just north of Ouray Hot Springs. The park's primary attraction is the Ice Rink. The rink is open from December through February and can be used at night. At times, locals will organize hockey and broomball games. (Note that the rink is not available when the temperature is above freezing.) At Rotary Park, you can also enjoy rock climbing during warmer months. Routes range from 5.5 to 5.12 and include sport routes and mixed routes. Amenities at Rotary Park include restrooms and picnic tables are available.

Fellin Park

Fellin Park, also known as Hot Springs Pool, is one of Ouray's most popular parks. Located next to Ouray Hot Springs, the park has a number of family-friendly amenities, including picnic areas and a gazebo, a playground, basketball and pickleball courts, a skate park, and a baseball field. You can even reserve the entire park, the gazebo area, or the picnic area.

Ouray Dog Park

Ouray Dog Park, located near downtown Ouray, is a small section of land set aside of off-leash dogs to enjoy. Dogs must be licensed, vaccinated, and wearing tags in order to use the park. The park is not open to puppies less than four months old. Each owner can bring a maximum of three dogs at the park. In addition, kids must be at least 10 years old.

Box Canyon Falls Park

Box Canyon Falls Park is a developed park built around Box Canyon Falls. This is one of the easiest places you'll find to view a stunning waterfall. The falls are created by the waters of Canyon Creek plummeting 285 feet down a narrow canyon. The park has a visitor center, three main hiking trails, and picnic areas. The visitor center includes various interpretive exhibits. The three hiking trails are easy hikes, with the trail to the falls being around 500 feet. Note that dogs are not permitted in Box Canyon Falls Park.
